Picture of the Day February 29: My Sister's Quilt for Leap Year
Just to prove that The Curmudgeonly Professor and big brother appreciates the incredible ability of my sisters to make gorgeous quilts, here is one made by my sister Liz, who insisted I didn't need to post it. What was she thinking? From all I can tell, quilting, stamping, knitting, crocheting, and mommy blogs get tons more page clicks than mine gets anyway, so I'm thinking seriously of changing to a hybrid quilting-mommy-geezer-photo blog and see what happens. Happy Leap Year.
P.S. Due to the number of visits that my sister's gorgeous quilt has generated, I'm adding her story on how she came about to make it, as follows:
Inspiration for this quilt came from an old Fons and Porter "Love of Quilting" magazine - I purchased the acrylic templates several years ago, and determined that this would be the year I would raid my batik stash and put one together. Liz Gage
