Yesterday we saw the movie The Flyboys here in St. George Utah. The movie was filmed mostly in St. George, nearby Hurricane, Mesquite NV, and over the Utah and AZ desert. Filmed and produced on a shoe string budget, The Flyboys is one of the most entertaining films I have seen in a long time. Two young school boys become friends when one of them, the new kid in town, defends another who is being bullied. They both become attached to a man who flies and works around the airport. Inadvertently, while exploring the inside of a plane in a hangar, they become unwitting passengers in a plane owned by the mob. This movie is definitely a modern and highly ingenious upgrade of the Hardy Boys and is one that should cover about every adventure fantasy a young boy could dream up. The theater was full of really young kids, which I wasn't sure about, since there is some violence. Otherwise, the movie is clean as a whistle and one you could take your grandmother to go see.
