St. George UT Scenes: Photos of the Day December 4 2008
Hearken back to Arnold's Drive Inn in Happy Days. Larsen's Frosttop is likely one of the few vintage malt-burger-drive-ins to long survive the onslaught of the fast food giants. A St. George landmark.
The red bluff north of the city of St. George. Photo taken from the top of the bluff separating the east and west sides of the city.
Street through residential area on top of the bluff.
St. George Boulevard, the main east-west artery through the original center of town, looking west toward the bluff. The "D" on the bluff is for Dixie State College, so named because St. George was labeled "Utah's Dixie" by early Mormon pioneers who came to settle the area. The current St. George airport, soon to be moved, is at the left side of the bluff, not shown in this photo, and a residential area is located on top of the bluff and along the west side. When the airport is moved, further residential and other developments are planned for the top of the bluff.
