A collection of distilled sarcastic wisdom, numerous photographs, discussions of books and stuff to learn and more stuff to think about from a retired economics professor turned blogger and photographer.
We planted two rose bushes by our St. George front doorstep 17 years ago. The dark red rose bush is still healthy and is growing normally. The other rose bush began dying several years ago, and a small gray skeleton is all that is left. Yet, each year this little disaster of a rose bush produces a few flowers like the one in this post and so we have never pulled it out.
