I'll go back this afternoon to see if these buds have fully bloomed today. When they do bloom, the blossoms will die in a few hours and the beautiful red sheath protecting the white blossom turns into a limp red dishrag.
Many people commute often between Salt Lake City and points south, including St. George, Las Vegas, and LA. So I-15 becomes as familiar as the back of one's hand. Frequent travelers on this core route often just ignore the incredible scenery and backgrounds along I-15. The winter is a bit dreary, but the backbone of Utah is covered with mountains and hills. But if you are from England or India or even Alabama and have never been to this part of the country, at least you can see where we live.
