I'm trying to think of something positive I can say about the snow. I suppose I could relent and say that it's beautiful, but I'm not ready to go that far when I hadn't planned to see any snow whatsoever this entire winter.
Just two or three weeks ago, this tree was covered in green leaves. Now we're in for the brief St. George winter. At least the spring will come soon, not in mid-June, as when we lived in Laramie WY for many years.
A reminder of what we thought we had left behind when we came to St. George UT for the winter. Someone made a big mistake here.
Are you kidding me? This is St. George UT in early December 2013 where people come to play golf and enjoy the outdoors. Who even owns a snow shovel? Fortunately, our neighbor had one and, being younger and healthier, shoveled our driveway.
No wonder so many palms and shrubs died in the storm and in the ice and cold weather that followed.
